satay, burning your indulgence to the top!

satay or sate is one of special food in Indonesia..the meat taste, burning smoke, way of burning will indulge every nerves of yours.

It's fun to know if you love eating sate, you certainly found that many variety of sate provided in Indonesia. There are sate Padang, sate Kambing (from goat meat), sate Kelinci (from rabbit meat), sate ayam (from chicken meat), sate domba (from lamb meat), sate sapi (from cow meat), sate babi (from pig meat), sate ikan (from fish).
the most popular one are Sate Kambing (goat), sate ayam (chicken), and sate Padang..they can easily found on the main streets of Jakarta..

Sate are made from slices of meat, they are roughly cutting in thin slices, then it will be sticked to bamboo stick (around 15 cm). the seller then burn it on the burning charcoal..

While sate is half-done, the seller will take it away from the roaster, smear the sauce (peanut sauce + soy sauce) until the sate is greasy enough with the sauce, sluurps! Fun Eating experience is began..
then, sate will be burned again until it is well done. the seller put sate once again into the sauce (peanut butter), put extra soy sauce, stir it together. Done! Sate is ready to be eaten..

As the topping, fried onion will be added on top of it. For extra hot lovers, you can add special satay red chilly on it..Still you have extra appetizer: for more taste, chew slice of green chilly + slice of onion while eating the sate. it will raise unbeatable temptation in eating..

In Indonesia, 1 serving contains 10 sticks of sate, the fun is you can customize it into 15 per serving for extra price. Ooh, for me 10 sticks of sate doesn't make my stomach full, then I ask for extra lontong (steamed rice wrapped with banana leaves) for it. Hmm, Eating is always perfect!

For eating sate ayam and sate kambing, they are familiar to be found at night time..for sate padang can be found at day's time. the seller will go around on streets while yelling "sateeeee" loudly to announce their coming ^_^. it is fun to see the way they yell it.

One kind of fun eating of sate is the aroma..the burnt meat + specific aroma from burning charcoal will float into the environment nearby. I bet You can't resist the tempting aroma..
It doesn't count the fun sound while burning. the flame will produce "tick..tick..tick sound while the seller fan the burning meat on the charcoal. the flame breaks into pieces to the air and produce a view of smoke and flame fragment.

My suggestions: Never miss your cool night without eating 1 serving of sate. The hot burning, the aroma, the taste will melt together to create fun-eating indulgence.

Submarine Pempek..Loading an egg inside for your indulgence..

The Fun Eating experience this time is Pempek which originally come from Palembang..the main ingredients are fish and sago that are mixed together. Then Pempek is fried with hot cooking oil. After Pempek turns yellow goldish, take it out from the pan..

then cut cucumber in dice slice..Give some yellow noodles on top of Pempek. Last step, pour the Cuka on top of it. Cuka is the pempek sauce made of brown sugar, dried shrimps, garlic, salt, and chilly..If you need extra taste, you can ask for more rawit chilly and dried shrimps..Isn't it fun?

My favourite one is Pempek Kapal Selam (submarine Pempek). it is called submarine because it look like the submarine one. It has egg inside it. the combination of eating fried pempek with egg will produce "unbeatable" taste in your mouth..

Coffee, Life will never be the same..

Dear Coffee Lovers,
the fact shows: 77% adults (161 million peoples) drink coffee, either in daily or occasional basis (www.findarticles.com).
Indeed, Coffee is excellent for boosting your mood and mind. It boost more concentration to your work and bring cheerfulness for your day.

Here is my fun eating coffee experience..
First thing in the morning, It's always fun to pour a cup of hot coffee for myself. It always remove my sleepy face..2 tea spoonful of powder coffee + creamer + sugar. Pour hot water, stir it, done!

Smell it first, close your eyes then feel the aroma of coffee, inhale deeply into your lungs and feel the sensation..Fun indulgence..

After lunch, I end it up with a cup of coffee. It always work to remove "the full feeling"on stomach after eating. I rather take it with less sugar to get the "feel" of coffee..

I usually take 2-3 cups of coffee a day. every time I go to supermarket, you must find a collection of coffee package in my basket.
I like to taste different coffee taste at different times. but powder is preferable than the instant one..I love the fun of taking the nature smell of coffee.

At weekend, I usually enjoy my time in the coffee shop..I call it "Relax Time".
A cup of hot Cappucino or Latte is a good choice to be enjoyed here.
In case that I need extra "boost", I order Machiato. Extra Vanilla or Mocha Flavour should be added to your indulgence!

Try it! Put a bite of cookies, then sip your hot Latte slowly now..Feel the aroma of coffee and the crispy of cookies mix together in your mouth..How the cookies is slowly separated into dust then melted with Latte in your mouth..Mmh..
When it is combined with eating donuts, a black coffee will be a perfect combination! the bitter taste of coffee is being muffled with sweet taste from donuts..Delicious! Feel your fun eating experience there..

At coffee shop, I love to sip at my coffee quietly at the corner. I love the fun feeling of cozy seat and watch the interaction of people around me. I can see a man with his laptop, the woman with her magazine, boy who is busy to flattered to his girl, even the old grandpa with his newspaper. Its always fun to find coffee is always be there to accompany human in their activities in different purpose.

Now, I think its my cup of coffee's time..Have a Coffee Day, my friends!

Ketoprak..Fun Eating experience : day and night..

Dear Fun Eating Lovers:
It always become my favourite food since I was a little girl..Fortunately, the ketoprak seller was selling the ketoprak next to my door. As the result, every 1-2 days, I whined to my Mom to buy it for me ^_^.
Do you know what? The Ketoprak seller is very handsome. He look like the popular singer at that time, Mr R**** H******. wondering why he didn't get famous also, huh? I also keep it in mind too..

In short, I always have my ketoprak wishes to Mr. "R"(that's how I called him). then I will bring the biggest plate I can found in my kitchen. It was fun to think the bigger plate, the bigger portion I will get ^_^ . I ran next door then starting commanding my wishes to Mr. "R"

1. No Ketupat (Rice steamed, wrapped by coconut leaves)
2. More Rice Noodles
3. More Tofu and must be half-fried
4. More Peanut Sauce
5. More chili
6. No mistake in interpreting my request ^_^
In fact, he just listened carefully (and quietly also), and 10 minutes after that, a plate of ketoprak was ready to be eaten! Here is my lunch time!

So, what is ketoprak ? Ketoprak is familiar to be found on Jakarta's street. The seller is bringing a big cart, usually in red color. they hit the plates to inform their coming. "Ting..Ting..Ting.." Fun noise at the midday for me..
The sound will certainly change into "dug..dug..dug" when the seller is busy in pestling the peanut sauce..

You can find eating ketoprak to become very fun and unique, as it consists rice noodles, tofu, chili, and ketupat and be poured with tasty peanut sauce..
First, the seller will put the chili (customized whether you want it hot or not) + garlic + peanut grill + brown sugar, mixed it with citrus water together, pestle them together.
after that, he will put sliced ketupat, take hot tofu and slice it into pieces, take an amount of rice noodles into the peanut sauce. sluurp! Add the Soy Sauce as the topping. last step, pour smashed red chips. Perfect! Now it is Fun eating time..

Usually, the ketoprak seller will be easily to be found at day time. but in the certain areas in Jakarta, you can also find it at night time. I dont know why, but the night one taste better for me. the night time ketoprak is always full of customers. they usually bring kerosene lamp and stay in one place. it is different from day time, the seller is towarding his cart from street to street..

No matter in day time or night time, Eating ketoprak is always delicious for all times!
